Faith, Service, and Lifelong Learning
At St. Bernard’s High School, faith and service form the foundation of our mission: to educate students who grow as compassionate, courageous, and thoughtful leaders.
Our Campus Ministry offers students opportunities for prayer, reflection, retreats, and service, helping them meet the challenges of the world with empathy, integrity, and respect for others.
Welcoming Students of All Faiths
All students seeking growth—morally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually—are welcome. About 66% of our community are practicing Catholics but many other students come from different faith traditions or are non-religious. Everyone is invited to participate in and respectfully observe Catholic traditions.
Spiritual Life
Students and staff attend Mass at least monthly and on holy days of obligation. Additional opportunities include prayer services, pastoral counseling, and annual grade-level retreats that focus on personal growth, service, leadership, and preparing to make a difference in the wider world.
Service in Action
Service is central to our mission. While not required for graduation, students regularly engage in projects that benefit our local and global communities, including:
Serving at Mass as lectors, acolytes, or Campus Ministry leaders
Guest speakers and vocational assemblies
United Way Day of Caring Service Project
All Souls Day Wall of Remembrance
National Vocation Awareness Week
Thanksgiving Food Drive for St. Vincent DePaul
Christmas Giving Tree
Lessons and Carols Christmas Celebration
The Sacrament of Confession during Advent and Lent
Lenten Celebrations such as Tenebrae
Catholic Schools Week
Haitian Outreach Sponsorship
Through these experiences, students develop a lifelong commitment to compassion, leadership, and meaningful action in their communities.
