Is it really worth the investment?

Yes! For most families, the investment pays dividends. In fact, the average merit scholarship package our graduates receive from the colleges and universities they attend is a whopping $120,000 over four years of college. That's $30,000 per year and approximately three times the annual cost to attend St. Bernard's High School.

Won't my child have more career opportunities if they attend a voc-tech high school instead of a college prep high school?

Honestly, that depends on your child! But if your student is college-bound and intends to pursue a field that requires a college degree (like health care, engineering, or business, for example), then it's tough to beat what STB has to offer. College attendance, college completion, and higher-degree (i. e., MBA, MD, PhD, or JD) completion rates are significantly higher among Catholic high school graduates than voc-tech grads. Our curriculum is designed to prepare all of our graduates for higher ed, and our college support team is there to help them afford their next stage of learning.

I'm worried about the cost of college. Doesn't it make more sense to save my money during the high school years, rather than spend it on private school tuition?

Affording college and planning for college are nothing to take lightly, and we respect all families paths towards achieving their goals. That said, our outcomes speak for themselves: with the average merit aid and scholarship awards for recent graduates totalling $120,000, your investment in St. Bernard's tuition will more than pay for itself - three-times over! While all high schools work to support their students' getting into college, STB takes it a step further and works to make our students stand out to their prospective colleges, helping to make the application and financing aspects of college enrollment less daunting.

Why does STB only charge $10k for annual tuition, when all the other private schools I've looked at charge much more?

While every school is different, we work hard to make our tuition affordable to our families, because we know how hard they work to give their students the opportunity to attend a school like ours. For the same reason, we work to meet each family's demonstrated financial need, ensuring that no student who wants to "become a Bernardian" is prevented from doing so because of money. We feel this is the best way we can honor the legacy of our founding religious order, whose mission was to educate children, regardless of their socioeconomic means.
